Why should I choose a sixth form college, and not my school sixth form?

We are sixth form specialists – all of our teaching, facilities and support services are specially designed for 16-19 year olds and their specific needs, and run by experts with years of experience working with this age group.

Course choice – because we do sixth form and nothing else, we can offer a range of courses most schools simply can’t.

Independence – outside of lesson time we will support you to work independently, and manage your study in a way that best suits you. We treat you like an adult, and help you prepare you for your next stage at university or at work.

A fresh start – our students relish the chance to meet a new group of like-minded people, make new friends and explore new opportunities in a fresh environment.

Why should I choose SFX and not another college?

Outstanding Results – our high quality of teaching, facilities and academic support help every student get the best grades possible, and succeed. Ofsted rated ‘Good’.

Facilities – our facilities are second to none, including our library, gym, sports grounds, music and media studios, chapel, and onsite Starbucks.

Academic & Careers Support – our dedicated academic and careers support teams help every student to reach their full potential, and achieve their desired next steps. We cover the full range of support needed, from those needing help to stay on track, to special support for Oxbridge and Russell Group applicants.

Student wellbeing – we take the physical and mental health of our students seriously, and offer a full range of services designed to help foster wellbeing at the college. As a Catholic school we support and promote values such as kindness, inclusion and respect for everyone; and we pride ourselves on having a vibrant and supportive community.
