COVID-19 Guidance

Letter to students, parents & carers following announcement of national lockdown - 5th January 2021

In light of Boris Johnson's announcement on 4th January, the college will be open for on-site learning from Wednesday 6th January for vulnerable learners only. Remote learning will be in place for all other students.

Students should access all their lessons from home following their regular timetable. Teachers will be sending out links for each lesson. Students who are unable to access lessons because they do not have the necessary technology or have connectivity problem should inform Mr Hull, as a matter of urgency, via email: khull@sfx.ac.uk

BTEC JANUARY EXAMS - CANCELLED
Following concerns raised over the health and safety of the college community, the College has today taken the decision to cancel all remaining BTEC and CTEC exams that were due to take place this month.
Whilst this is regrettable, the safety of students and staff must come first. The Secretary of State for Education has announced today that no student will be disadvantaged by not sitting these examinations. Government departments are working on an alternative assessment plan. It is important that all students continue to engage with their lessons and complete all work set. Teachers will be in contact with students directly.
