Last week the College Chapel was packed out for the 2022 VESPA Awards. These awards acknowledge those students who have shown themselves to be dedicated, enthusiastic and resilient in their studies, as well as demonstrating the values that underpin the St Francis Xavier Catholic Sixth Form College ethos:

The ceremony was hosted by the College Principal Graham Thompson, who spoke of his pride in the students receiving awards and how they were a credit to the College. He was joined by staff from all curriculum areas who presented their winning students with their certificates and goody bags.
Quotes from nominating staff included:
'Zara has a genuine talent for literature and knows exactly the best way to foster this - by reading books I've never even heard of!'

'Daniel has had a fantastic year culminating in his artwork being nominated for the SFCA art exhibition.’
Following the event, the winners headed off to the canteen where they celebrated with a well-deserved pizza feast!
