A Level Biology students and members of our Eco Club took their learning beyond the classroom this week with an exciting visit to the Natural History Museum. The trip provided a hands-on opportunity to deepen their understanding of key topics while engaging with real-world scientific research.
Exploring Evolution and Biodiversity
As part of their Module 4: Classification & Evolution, our Biology students explored a wide range of fascinating specimens, gaining insight into how life has evolved over millions of years. From prehistoric fossils to cutting-edge genetic studies, students saw first-hand how classification plays a vital role in understanding the natural world.
Meanwhile, our Eco Club members focused on species affected by climate change, examining the impact of environmental shifts on biodiversity and conservation efforts. The visit reinforced the importance of sustainability and inspired students to consider careers in environmental science, conservation, and ecology.
Learning Beyond the Classroom
At SFX, we believe in hands-on, immersive learning experiences. With enrichment clubs like Eco Club, students can explore their passions, develop essential skills, and contribute to real-world environmental solutions.
