Summer Grading 2021

All students must attend all lessons and follow the feedback and guidance of teachers. We are still waiting for exam boards to provide some further guidance so the information below is accurate at the time of writing.  We will inform students immediately of any changes.  For all in class assessments that take place exam concession will be applied.  Please be aware that teachers will not be able to tell students their likely final grade or the grades for any future assessments.

Students and parent/guardians should see the relevant sections below for information on specific courses.
Year 13 A-Levels

As you know the Summer Exams aren’t going ahead, instead you will receive a Teacher Assessed Grade. This would be better called a "College Assessed Grade" as these will be moderated by departments and the College. No single mark/ piece of work will determine your grade. Assessments and work that you have already completed, including end of term assessments, will be used by teachers and departments to determine your grades, as well as a number of in class assessments completed after the Easter Break. Your teachers will tell you before Easter when these will take place and what topics/topic areas the assessments will cover.  It is vital that you prepare well for these assessments and revise over the coming weeks as this will help inform the grade that you receive.  Teachers will be able to provide feedback and guidance to support you which you should use to prepare for upcoming assessments.  Please note there will be no opportunity to re-sit any assessments.

Criminology
As with A-Levels, summer exams in Criminology will not be going ahead, instead you will receive a Qualification Teacher Assessed Grade. This grade will be based on controlled assessments already completed, end of term assessments as well as a number of in class assessments completed after the Easter Break.
