Why Work With Us

We understand that, as a school, you want the best for your students when it comes to their study options after GCSEs, and want them to succeed. Every student will have different interests and aspirations, and sometimes they may have to look outside of their school to meet these. In those situations, we welcome the opportunity to work with you in helping your students take the most appropriate next steps for them.

That is why we believe St. Francis Xaviers Sixth Form College can be a great partner for you to work with.
Course Choice
The Baker Clause sets out the reasons why it is important that students are informed about all of the educational choices available to them. For those students hoping to take a course or combination that you cannot provide, we may be able to help. Unlike some other sixth form colleges, we offer the opportunity to take any combination of 27 A level subjects, and we organise our timetable accordingly to avoid clashes. In addition, students can choose from a wide range of 11 Level 3 Extended Diplomas including BTEC and University of the Arts London (UAL) courses. We also have Level 2 and Foundation options available.

A Good Academic Home for Your Students
Rated a "Good Provider" by Ofsted in 2019, our high quality of teaching, facilities and academic support help every student get the best grades possible, and succeed. In 2020, we continued to achieve record results:
  • 100% pass rate (381 entries) across all A Level courses.
  • 44% of grades at A*-B across all A Level courses.
  • 96% pass rate (290 entires) across all Level 3 Extended Diploma courses.
  • 73% achieved Distinction* or Distinction (equivalent of A* or A at A level) across all Level 3 Extended Diploma courses.
Student Support
We take the physical and mental health of our students seriously, and offer a full range of services designed to help foster wellbeing at the college. We have an excellent pastoral care system. Each student has a Personal Tutor to guide them alongside their subject teachers. We have a specialist welfare team; together with the designated Safeguarding Officer, there is a College Counsellor and a Student Welfare Officer on hand to support students experiencing personal worries or concerns. We also have an Additional Learning Support team who are there to help students with specialist learning needs, as well as any student who is struggling academically.
